Aims and Scope (from publisher): Cogent Education is a leading multidisciplinary open access journal, publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed articles across the breadth of educational research. The journal is led by Editor-in-Chief Professor John C.K. Lee (The Education University of Hong Kong), supported by an expert international Editorial Board. Our academic editors take an objective and constructive approach to peer review, ensuring each manuscript is evaluated on its own scholarly merits and research integrity. Article-level metrics let the research speak for itself.

Cogent Education considers original research and review articles in the following sections and broad topical areas:

Curriculum & Teaching Studies
Publishes papers that contribute to, and communicate across, a wide range of theories, interpretations and methodologies in relation to curriculum and teaching research and how it shapes schooling at all levels in local, national and international spheres. Articles that explore cross-disciplinary considerations in fields including, but not limited to, politics, cultural studies, economics and management are also welcomed.
