Aims and Scope (from publisher): The Journal Desarrollo y Sociedad is a bilingual academic journal (Spanish/English) published by the Department of Economics and CEDE (Centro de Estudios sobre Desarrollo Económico) of the Universidad de los Andes, Colombia. With two issues per year (June/December), the journal´s objective is to disseminate the results of both national and international researchers regarding economic and social issues of economic development, as well as contributions to theoretical, applied economics, and quantitative methods. Desarrollo y Sociedad gives special attention to those studies with an emphasis on Colombia and Latin America.
