Aims and Scope (from publisher): Journal founded on 1984, edited by the Facultad de Ciencias Sociales of the Universidad Católica de Temuco, accepts original papers in Spanish, English, French, Mapudungun and Portuguese from different fields of social science and humanities, with special emphasis on contemporary issues and historic processes of societies with sociocultural diversity and tension derived from inequalities and colonial heritages.

CUHSO is a six-monthly journal for specialist in social sciences and humanities, undergraduate and postgraduate students, and researchers of related disciplines. The issues appear on July 31 and December 15.

Submitted texts are subject of a peer review, with a minimum of two experts in the field of study, and they have the advisory of Vicerrectoría de Investigación y Posgrado of Universidad Católica de Temuco.
