Aims and Scope (from publisher): The International Journal of Road Safety (IJRS) aims to provide an academic platform to disseminate, exchange and discuss advanced research findings to academicians, researchers, scientists, practitioners and policy makers concerning all aspects on theoretical and experimental research in the field of road safety to enhance the road safety situation with comprehensive and integrated solutions. IJRS publishes high-quality peer-reviewed papers and is committed to rapid peer review and publication.

IJRS provides a wide coverage of areas related to road safety; road safety management, road engineering, vehicle safety, road user behaviour and post-crash management. Not limiting to this, IJRS also addresses others aspects in relation to road safety namely safe mobility, infrastructure design, safety policy and planning, road and crashworthiness, intelligent transportation system and risk and exposure analysis.

The journal focuses primarily on original research papers across its whole scope, but also welcomes state-of-the-art review papers and any special significance and discussion papers on hot topics.

IJRS is an official journal of the Malaysian Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS) and ASEAN Road Safety Centre.
