Aims and Scope (from publisher): Legal Reader has been providing commentary on various legal issues, particularly those affecting consumers, since 2002. We don’t believe in “legalese,” recognizing that information must be clear and understandable to be useful to our readers. Our commentary is a mix of seriousness and irreverence appropriate to the subject.

Legal Reader is devoted to protecting consumers. We take pride in exposing the hypocrisy of corporations, other organizations, and individuals whose actions put innocent people in harm’s way. We are unapologetic in our dedication to informing the public and unafraid to call out those who are more focused on profits than people’s safety.

In order to preserve our ability to provide helpful, consumer-focused content, Legal Reader does not sell advertising space to corporate interests. We believe doing so would compromise our freedom of expression, something that is in direct opposition to our purpose.
