Aims and Scope (from publisher): The Korean Journal of Emergency Medical Services is the official publication of the Korean Society of Emergency Medical Services. It was launched in 1997 and listed in Korea Citation Index Expanded (KCIE) in 2011. The journal was listed in Korea Citation Index (KCI) in 2015. The journal accepts original research articles, review articles, case reports and short communications in the fields of emergency medical services. The journal is published three times a year in April, August and December each year.

The official title of the journal is 'The Korean Journal of Emergency Medical Services' and abbreviated title is 'Korean J Emerg Med Ser'. All submitted manuscripts are peer-reviewed by four reviewers. The text may be written in Korean or English.
