Aims and Scope (from publisher):
The Nordic Journal of Criminology (formerly Journal of Scandinavian Studies in Criminology and Crime Prevention) is an international, peer reviewed journal publishing original research articles in the field of criminology and crime prevention. The journal provides a forum for criminological research across a wide range of perspectives and methodologies. Priority is given to research with Nordic relevance. Such relevance can be based on multiple considerations such as:
• Research based on Nordic data
• Research includes Nordic data (for instance, international comparative research which includes the Nordic case)
• Systematic review of prior empirical research, crime prevention evaluation studies, and theoretical or methodological traditions, using an inclusion criterion with incorporates Nordic work
• Research which otherwise manifests Nordic relevance
The Nordic Journal of Criminology is published under the auspices of The Scandinavian Research Council for Criminology, together with the Danish, Finnish and Norwegian Crime Prevention Councils, the Finnish National Research Institute of Legal Policy and the Department of Criminology at the University of Stockholm.
