Aims and Scope (from publisher): Since the KAPS was founded in 2003, the KAPS journal 『The Journal of Peace Studies』 saw its first issue published in 2004 and has been published 6 times on an annual basis.
『The Journal of Peace Studies』 is to publish: research papers to focus on the general peace studies and to diagnose conflicts and disputes in the world and further to suggest their solutions and alternatives; research papers dealing with the issue of peace in Asia and the Korean Peninsula; research papers related to the two Korea's reunification issues; and research papers to suggest a variety of solutions to the conflicts and alternative approaches in Korea.
Since it was designated as a registration candidate journal in 2008, the status of 『The Journal of Peace Studies』 was formally upgraded and put on the list of registered journals under the supervision of the National Research Foundation of Korea and has been constantly endeavoring to enhance its quality as a leading academic journal in the field of peace studies.
