Aims and Scope (from publisher): The Journal of Information Science and Engineering is published bimonthly by the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica. The purpose of this journal is to provide an open forum to publish high-quality research papers in the areas of information science and engineering to promote the exchange of research ideas, experiences, and results. This journal therefore invites the submission of technical manuscripts on topics within these areas.

The Journal of Information Science and Engineering is dedicated to the dissemination of information on computer science, computer engineering, and computer systems. This journal encourages articles on original research in the areas of computer hardware, software, man-machine interface, theory and applications. tutorial papers in the above-mentioned areas, and state-of-the-art papers on various aspects of computer systems and applications.
