Aims and Scope (from publisher): Cultural Background: Safety science and technology has been becoming one of the most important sciences for the modern society and its promoting role on society practice will increase in the future. The convening of International Symposium on Safety Science and Technology (ISSST) provides an international forum for the open exchange of information and ideas in the field of safety science and technology, and an opportunity for safety professionals, enterprise operators, managers, system designers, engineers, technicians, scientists, academics, consultants and government to meet and review and debate the state-of-the-art in safety science and technology. The purpose of ISSST is devoted to the development and application of methods for the enhancement of the safety and reliability of complex technological systems, furthermore, to enlighten the system safety community on all areas of safety research, program management, and analysis.
