Abstract

Numerous students have secured manifestations of attitudes and beliefs through the use of the "opinion poll." The informants usually are requested to indicate their reactions to statements which often appear not to convey the meaning to the subject that they are assumed to because the statements are so general and conceptual. A "different" type of situational and non-conceptualized questionnaire dealing with moral evaluations relating to the family and marriage was constructed and submitted to 217 college students. This paper summarizes the results and attempts to evaluate the procedure.
