These stressor include the burden and constant pressures of their responsibilities, the need to deal with significant others of the victim, difficulties with the judicial and human service systems., frustration and anger and fatigue. The successful management of such stress requires short-term responses to dea1 with immediate stressors, as well as long-term strategies that involve the police organization and the individual invastigator.
