Abstract

The article presents comments on the article written by Ron Langevin, Suzanne Curnoe, Paul Fedoroff, Renee Bennett, Mara Langevin, Cheryl Peever, Rick Pettica and Shameen Sandhu about sexual offenders' long-term recidivism rate. It discusses the inflation on recidivism rate reported on the article and the overestimation on the criminal records due to the inclusion of prior and future offences. It states that lifetime recidivism rate estimation is difficult and requires patience and prospective studies.
