Abstract

This paper is aimed at identifying similarity or difference of historical trauma shown in Jeju 4.3 and Holocaust survivor's autobiographical works and at looking for the theoretical evidence related to survivors' negative and potentially repressed emotions associated with a historic incident for generalization. The result of cross-cultural comparison of Historical trauma showed that Jeju-4.3 survivor have the same kind of trauma such as anger, anxiety, guilt and etc. related to Jeju 4.3 Incident as Holocaust survivor has.
