Abstract

Being the largest networks in the world, Railways provides large facilities for the transportation which inhances the economic growth. Various methods are proposed for security in railway still a lot of accidents do occure causing fatalities. Basic improvisation or attention is needed in the field of track analysis or detection of track, it will prevent lot of accidents. This paper illustrates the various recent techniques that are presented in railway network to detect the breakage in the railway track. We have categorized the security techniques and have compared all of them. We have also summarized various methods proposed under single categories by delineating their advantages and disadvantages.
