Abstract

Over the past year, a written individual educational plan (IEP) has been required for each school age handicapped child enrolled in school programs. The development of the IEP is a relatively novel process for those involved in the education and treatment of handicapped children and has begun to generate considerable discussion in the professional literature. The author reviews each section of the plan, with particular reference to interdisciplinary contributions and perspectives.
