Abstract

Responsive Parenting is a program designed to use parents to help teach other parents to apply a behavior analysis approach in managing the behavior of their children. The organization of the parent training course and the concepts taught to parents are outlined. A parent behavior change project is presented which illustrates how parents learn to define, measure and graph behavior and to use systematic consequences and applied behavior analysis research designs. A description of the program for training parents to actively function as group leaders and program directors is also provided.
