Abstract

Note: This publication discusses the development and preliminary assessment of the Earlscourt Under 12 Outreach Project for Boys (ORP) multifaceted intervention for youth between the ages of 6 and 12 years who have had police contact. Six and twelve month followups after participation were conducted. The intervention includes self-control and problem-solving skill groups, individual befriending, parent training, school advocacy, and crisis intervention. 54 boys and 10 girls were included in this study. Parent ratings found significant improvements on children's behavior.
