Abstract

Although secondary counselors typically work outside of the classroom with individuals, there are a number of advantages when they come into the classroom to work with groups of students. Secondary school counselors can work with teachers in order to provide actual experience with problem solving techniques. Explicit instruction in group problem solving can help avert bullying and other problem behaviors.
