Abstract

This work studies the relation between having suffered child sexual abuse and other types of abuse in infancy and as an adult. The sample (477) was obtained in four mental health centers in the Madrid area over one year. Tools: Child sexual abuse detection questionnaire (Finkelhor) and Conflict Tactics Scale (CTS). Results: Prevalence of child sexual abuse was 13,2%. Women reporting they had suffered abuse were more frequently diagnosed as having personality disorder and had suffered physical abuse by parents in infancy and physical violence by their partner.
