Abstract

The rich colors poured out of flowers can serve as a soothing balm during periods of grief and loneliness. The care and keeping of an indoor garden can be a motivator for the homebound or physically challenged person whose mobility limits full particivation in an outdoor garden. More importantly, however, a garden can serve as a catalyst for social sharing among members of a community and enrich the lives of each participant in a very special way.
