Abstract

Leisure is limited by the extent to which constraints constricting leisure choices exist. A study was conducted to examine the constraints which limit leisure behavior in the later years. The results indicated that factors do exist which inhibit leisure choices and the types of constraints to leisure vary across the age groups studied. Leisure service providers must focus more of their efforts on the identification and elimination of such constraints and less on the actual provision of recreation activities if leisure opportunities are to be increased.
