Abstract

Eye, ear, endocrine, neurologic, arrhythmic, and other disorders can be underlying causes of falls. For this reason, a thorough history following a fall is essential. To document an arrhythmia as the cause of a fall, the best instrument to use is the Holter ambulatory monitor. A 24-hour tracing is standard.
