Abstract

The evaluation of the patient who falls requires an assessment of proprioception. Proprioception is traditionally tested in the great toes. Ankle proprioception, which is more relevant to falling, has been poorly, if ever, tested. A pedal apparatus was designed to improve the clinical assessment of ankle proprioception.
