Abstract

A case of coin obstruction of the esophagus is presented. A seven-year-old child presented with a history of accidental coin ingestion. Radiographs displayed a coin impacted in the esophagus at the thoracic inlet. After endoscopic removal, a follow-up film demonstrated a second coin in the same location, which had been exactly superimposed over the first.
