Abstract

Two aspects of Air Pillow Occupant Restraint Systems are discussed: 1) The means of supporting and dissipating the kinetic energy of the occupant of a crashing vehicle and 2) the means employed to automatically deploy the pillow system in response to a crash intensity impact.
