Abstract

Annually as many as 2,000 children die as a result of abuse. This study details the patterns of injury described in the autopsy reports of nine young children who died as a result of abuse. This information will help healthcare professionals recognize the signs of abuse and initiate child abuse prevention and intervention efforts.
