Abstract

The unusual feature of the case presented is the multiplicity of bullet wounds of the heart, self inflicted, any one of which would appear to be immediately fatal. The motives for suicide were apparently poverty and far-advanced pulmonary tuberculosis. Penetrating wounds of the heart may heal spontaneously and death may occur later from another cause independent of the former heart injury.
