Abstract

Studied the accuracy and the predictive validity of the 2nd version of the Psychopathy Scale (R. D. Hare, 1985). Human Ss: 106 Canadian adults (mean age 28 yrs) (federal prisoners awaiting conditional release from a medium-security, high-security, or maximum-security prison). Ss were assessed with a structured interview to determine the prevalence of antisocial personality disorder, violence, and aggressive behavior in criminal populations. 70 Ss were observed by a 2nd experimenter during the interview. Interrater accuracy, internal consistency, and interrater agreement were analyzed. (PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2022 APA, all rights reserved)
