Abstract

Calls for a greater need to study definitions of violence and violent physical acts among adolescent French school children. While incorporating much of the previous literature on the subject, the author presents 2 main areas requiring further study: how students and teachers actually define violence; and how, why and by whom violence is perpetrated.
