Abstract

The paper contextualizes Slovenian social work in terms of the political, social, economic and cultural changes which Slovenia has gone through recently. The frame-work of social work education and services is then outlined. Two major examples of unexpected innovative social work projects are outlined and analysed. The implications of these examples to Slovenian social work practice and theory are looked at in the conclusions.
