Abstract

The psychotherapy of a ten-year-old boy whose mourning was inhibited by by massive isolation of affect is described. This impasse was overcome by the therapist employing a dramatic presentation.

DISCUSSION includes cognitive developmental factors, family influences and theory of effectiveness of drama.
