Abstract

This framework has proved useful in developing the CARDS team, particularly as crisis teams are often at the forefront of many stressful incidents. It is based on three important aspects of management: the presence of effective guiding policies to equip the team with effective and regularly reviewed procedures, supervision at many levels and in its many forms, and fast access to additional support, developed by the adult mental health forum, when major incidents occur.
