Abstract

Following a brief review of the forensic-medical literature on suicides performed with more than one shot from a firearm, the Author illustrates a case observed personally in which the subject committed suicide with two shots fired at the head with a firearm. The principal interest of the case is shown to be the unequal properties of the two wounds as a result of the defective functioning of the ammunition in the firearm.
