Abstract

The poet, through the exploration of his own inner space and time, becomes a specialist in those inner experiences called dreams, images, visions, reverie, memory, and hallucination. This is why the poet has always had affinity for both the child and the madman-both victims of the denial and repression of self fostered by family, school, and society.
