Abstract

Severe hypotension resulting from a disulphiram-ethanol reaction was treated with adrenaline, the maximum dosage being 170 micrograms/kg/hour. The patient survived without neurological or cardiovascular sequelae. The authors suggest that adrenaline/noradrenaline could be employed advantageously in similar situation.
