Abstract

In recent years data from a few studies have indicated that a relationship exists between suicidal behaviour and serotonin dysfunction and blood lipid rates. The need to discover possible biological markers in those who attempt suicide has led us to study several biochemical and hormonal serum parameters in 34 patients who received treatment for such behaviour in our hospital during 1992.
