Abstract

The 'ETC score' for the management of emergency calls for suicidal attempts with drugs (SAD) is intended for assessed clinical severity of these SAD. This score allows the physician a better appropriate medical response. During a prospective study (a 6 months period), it used in 10 SAMU representing 6 different territories in France. Upon these 1,307 calls, there specific values (sensibility 0.94, specificity 0.86, positive predictive value 0.63 and negative predictive value 0.98) suggest its interest to medical management.
