Abstract

The authors present a case of gasoline intoxication, at first referred as supposed ethanol intoxication. On the basis of clinical features they describe diagnostic assessment toward the ultimate diagnosis of toxic encephalopathy and flaccid tetraplegia induced by administration of load compounds and aliphatic hydrocarbons.
