Abstract

Ernest Hemingway 1899-1961, was a prolific writer that marked a style and an epoch in the 20th century, their literary work was marked by an almost journalistic, to be exact, short style where the stories were their better art relating to their novels. Its source of inspiration was almost always their own life, the facts risked to which survived, and the heroes that populated its mind. In their paternal family has been shown what today is known like bipolar illness with all their spectrum, especially the suicidal conduct that carried out it their father, their two brothers Ursula and Leicester, their granddaughter Margaux and the own one Ernesto. It contributed this illness to his creative process?
