Abstract

Electrical heater can cause fire if not used properly. In this article, technical identification method of Electrical heater without power cords collected from fire scene is discussed. Using macroscopic analysis, thermoanalysis (DTA), metallographic analysis and simulation experiment, we can ascertain the metal melted traces on the Electrical heater are formed by electrothermal effect before fire. Then we can surely conclude that the Electrical heater caused the fire. And this is a key process during the fire cause investigation.
