Abstract

A coupleand their two daughterswere found lying in a pool of blood inthe bedroom by the police. A safety razor blade had been recovered at crime scenes. Cut throat injuries were present on all the persons. The husband brought dead to a hospital and later the younger daughter also succumbed to the injuries. Medico legal autopsy and investigation by the police confirmed the caseas familicide-suicide and the perpetrator was the husband.Hewas suspecting infidelity of his wife and was in depression.To the authors' knowledge both homicide and suicide by cut throat with a safety razor blade has not been described before.Also, in this paper, we are highlighting atypical hesitation cut on the posterior neck of the perpetrator. © 2021, Medico Legal Society.
