Abstract

Many medicolegal questions arise during the daily work of emergency medical services, in which some are very special judicial issues that must be clarified: the exercise of exclusive rights, competence and expertise of paramedics and emergency physicians, patients refusing therapy, attempted suicides, aggressive patients, injuries following domestic violence including child abuse, liability rules, unconscious patients, activities of police with support by the emergency physician, diagnosis of death with or without a thorough postmortem examination and completion of relevant forms. © 2021, Springer Medizin Verlag GmbH, ein Teil von Springer Nature.
