Abstract

Although the number of autobiographical texts written by women is scarce, due to a great extent to their preference to express their private aspects through self-fiction, some of them decided, under certain circumstances, to communicate their own experience and feelings. This is the case of Marga Gil Roësset, the artist who committed suicide as a response to her unrequited love for Juan Ramon Jimenez. The aim of this paper is to make insights into the main features of a feminine self that takes up the pen to express her affectionate passion in her diary, as well as to focus on the particular traits of her writing. © UNED
