Abstract

PURPOSE of this contribution is to prove that the psychological autopsy could also be useful if applied in cases belonging to the past that still nowadays are characterized by doubts regarding the motives and the way the victim died. If taken from this point of view, psychological autopsy could become the final part of a method that aims to rebuild the state of mind of the victim before he/she died. But, if during the researches new elements emerge, the psychological autopsy could become also a starting point for new inquiries. The death of Michele Sindona in that sense is paradigmatic: still nowadays why and how he died remain obscure and unclear. © Pensa MultiMedia Editore.
