Abstract

Death With Dignity laws have legalized physicians assisting terminal patients, namely those with <6 months to live, with prescription medications to hasten their deaths. Despite being on the forefront of ethical end-of-life care initiatives, New York State continues to ban Death With Dignity legislation.
