Abstract

Main acute drugs and narcotic poisoning are rewieved in the current update. All are extra-hospital and hospital emergencies, accounting for 1% of adult emergencies in most countries. In many cases underlying causes are suicide attempt or recreational drug use. Antidepressants, benzodiazepines, cocaine, designer drugs and paracetamol are the substances chosen for this review. © 2018
