Abstract

This report provides an overview of serious injuries, caused by transportation accidents, in Australia, from 2003 to 2004. The report defines serious injury as an injury that requires hospitalization that results in subsequent discharge. The report does not cover fatalities. Modes of transportation represented in the report include highways, railroads, air transportation and water transportation.
