Abstract

'Suicide is characterized as the final common pathway of diverse circumstances, of an interdependent network rather than an isolated cause, a web of circumstances tightening around a single time and space. A prospective study was carried out in the Department of Forensic Medicine Government medical college and hospital, Nagpur from Jan 2013 to Nov 2014. Maximum number of suicide found in males which two times outnumbered the female. Domestic quarrel main cause of suicide followed by psychiatric illness. All the methods of suicide common in young adult (20-40) years of which hanging is most common. Psychiatric illness, 12.67% had consume the alcohol at the time of suicide. home was preferred place of suicide. 7% cases had left the suicide note. © 2018, World Informations Syndicate.
