Abstract

This paper analyzes, in the first part, the role played by parents, physicians and courts in the adoption of medical decisions for minors. In particular, the recent case of Charlie Gard and the actual debate about compulsory vaccinations are examined. In the second part, the Author focuses on the case of Fabiano Antoniani's assisted suicide and on the law (about informed consent and living will) just approved, highlighting its still unresolved legal issues. © 2018 Giuffre Editore SpA.
